In a CITD organised event, GBA President Marvin Cartwright spoke to over 100 Year 12 students at Bayside School last Thursday about pursuing a career in banking.

Speaking alongside several other professionals in financial services, Mr Cartwright gave a presentation about the career opportunities available in banking in Gibraltar. With a huge diversity of roles available, there is no shortage of career routes on offer, regardless of whether a student chooses to pursue a university education or enter into the world of work directly after finishing their A-Levels.

Mr Cartwright spoke of his personal experience throughout his career, as he took a route outside of university and entered banking from an entry level position, rising to become the CEO of J. Safra Sarasin, offering advice to students who are considering a similar journey.

Of the event, Mr Cartwright said "I was really pleased to represent the GBA at this jam-packed student event this morning and highlight the range of careers in banking, as well as all the opportunities available to them."
